Proverbs 18:10

Proverbs 18-10

‘The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.’ – Proverbs 18:10

Last year, we ran a series of 6 posts, called ‘Bible Verse Tuesday’. Each week we dived deep in God’s word and uncovered incredible, unspeakable promises to us; one Bible verse at a time. The Bible verse above, did not feature in the series.

This verse, is one that all Christians around the world need; we need it today, perhaps, as the world’s never needed it and we’re going to need it every day of our lives. We need this verse because God alone is the one place of safety for His people. Every animal, including ourselves that God has made, has an instinct of self-preservation. God loves us and wants to protect us. He loves us so much, he will leave his 99 sheep to come and find us, the 1 lost sheep. To read a sermon, by the Rev. Maurice Roberts which looks much deeper into the meaning behind this verse, click here.

To finish off, I would like to thank you for taking the time, to read this post and remind you that we upload posts here on RCGhub every Wednesday and Sunday. Also, you can find many other Bible verses like this one and their meaning, on the ‘verses’ page of the blog. Feel free to comment below your favourite Bible verse(s).
