God is with you – #6

As we draw this series to a close I hope we have either made you think about starting, reminded you or strengthened your relationship with our heavenly father. Here at RCG  we strive to ‘Help you get closer to God’ and I hope that is what this series has done.

Be watchful; stand firm in the faith; act like men; be strong. Let all that you do, be done everything in love.

1 Corinthians 16-13:14

Personally, the passage above gives me guidance on how I should live my life to make God happy and to complete his plans for my life. To help me remember these two verses and so I can read it every day, it is in a frame at the end of my bed. So when I wake up, I can read it. Click here to download the verse to print out for yourself your youth group.

This whole series has been about how God is with you and how he gave us life, so that we could live. Because of this, God promised to everyone that carefully created, that he would never leave them. But this verse says that in  everything you do, you should stick to you faith and let all that you do be done in love.

God loves you more than you can imagine, no matter who you are, what race you are, what gender you are. So you should love your Neighbours (everyone you meet) and your Lord in the same way.

God is with you – #5

Watch the video below and think about what Hea Woo had to got through. But please remember that God was with her ever step of that journey, even when she wasn’t a Christian and he will be with you throughout all of your life too. God will never leave you; God is with you, until the end.

Change

Change is a big thing that happens to everyone in their life. Some people try to avoid it but other embrace it. If you are someone who doesn’t like change, then I think this post is for you.

I find change quite hard myself and i’m sure many of you do too, but I have thought hard about it recently and I have adopted some changes recently.

Sit back, where ever you are reading this and relax,  spend some time thinking about all of the changes you have gone through and how hard or easy it was. Once you have thought of some examples, think about all of the changes that are coming up soon in your life. Are some of them similar? For example you might have moved house in the past. You thought you would never like the new house as much as the old one, but once you moved, you loved the new house much better.

Change:

To substitute another or others for; exchange for something else.

The word change and its meaning are very simple things, but overcoming it can sometimes be very hard. When you are going through a period of change try to think through it. What is the worst that could happen? What would Jesus do?

But most of all, pray to God and ask him to help you through your time of change, ask him to help you make the correct decisions that are best for you. Try reading your Bible, or take a look at our series all about ‘God is with you’. You can find this series and other series on the ‘Series Links’ page.

God is with you – #2

This week, remember that God is always with you and will NEVER leave you. Now, I am not just saying this because I have to, I am saying it because it is true. I had days when I think that God has left me and doesn’t care , but then I take out my Bible, or read some posts on RCG and that reminds me that God is always there for me.

We hope you like the quote and visit their website to find more quotes like it. Have a great week and love the Lord, because he loves you.
