1. Yummly
Yummly is a free app which gives you thousands of recipes and can even suggest new recipes based upon your preferences. This is brilliant if you want to make something for your friends and family. It is available on iOS and android.
2. Google Maps
Google maps is probably the best online maps available alongside its information about business’s nearby it is perfect for the Christmas holidays. Here Maps is also a great app if you are driving somewhere this Christmas as you can download maps for offline use. Both apps are free and available on both iOS and Android.
3. Dark Sky
Dark sky is a highly accurate weather app which can give you information as to when it will rain or snow up to an hour in advance. This is great if you plan on going out at Christmas. The app costs £2.99 and is only available on iOS. An alternative is WunderMap it does a similar job and is available for free on both iOS and Android.
4. Evernote
Evernote is a free app which allows you to take, edit and search notes. Need to write down who gave you what gift or the ingredients required for Christmas Dinner? Evernote is for you. In short is the perfect place for taking quick notes about anything. It is available on both iOS and Android.
5. Cut the rope
We couldn’t finish this list off without a game. For many of us, there are always those times, when you get a bit bored and you need a game to brighten the mood. Cut the Rope is a brilliant puzzle app, which you can play your self or entertain others with. The full version costs 79p however there are free versions available. It is available on iOS and Android.
