I want it now Lord!
A few weeks ago, towards the end of the summer break, while considering new post ideas and reading my Bible, the story of Jesus bringing Lazarus back to life, sprung to mind. The next hurdle I had to leap over was to think of a message inside this story, to tell you today. The message within this post is one of truth, reflection and hope. Hope that everything will turn out ok in the end because God has an amazing plan.
Romans 8:38-39 – Bible Verse Tuesday #5
38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of Christ Jesus our Lord.
– Romans 8:38-39
Nothing, can separate us from the eminence, unending, unconditional love of Christ Jesus, our Lord and saviour. Just take a moment this morning to read that sentence over a couple of times and try to comprehend what it means. You might be on away on holiday at the moment, or you might still be working hard at home. But where ever you are, whatever you are doing, this verse is for you.
After the internal struggle that Paul expressed at the end of Chapter 7, it is good to see him speak openly about his relationship with God in Romans 8. There are many other verses in Romans 8 that also inspire millions of Christians around the world every day, you can find some of them here. Paul was a man who wrote lots of the 66 Books in the Bible. He started off being a wicked man who persecuted anyone who followed God and after an encounter with the Lord himself, became a follower and preacher of the Good News.
Paul states in this verse that after all he has been through, he is very certain, nothing in creation, will be able to separate you from God. Christ Jesus’ love is so epic that not even death can can separate you from it. So, I leave you with this today, remember this week that whatever you or anyone else does, will not separate you from the almighty Lord God.
Introduction – Bible Verse Tuesday #1
This is the first post in an exciting new series here on RCG. However, before we dive deep in God’s word and uncover incredible, unspeakable promises to us, you get to read this boring introduction post. I’m sorry.
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” – Matthew 4:4
Unlike any other series we have had here on RCG, posts in this series will be shorter and uploaded on a weekly basis (every Tuesday morning). This is because we believe that instead of normally providing you with huge amounts of content and pieces of scripture. We want you to be able to read posts in this series in a short space of time, in the morning, before you go to work or school or start the days jobs. Then you will be able to contemplate the verse and meaning/message behind it, how it could affect you.
So, to summarise this series. Posts will be uploaded every Tuesday morning (around 6.00am). They will be fairly short posts analysing a verse from the Bible, with an aim of getting you to think about what it means to you.
If you are still unsure about any aspect of this series, feel free to Contact Us. Also, before you leave, hit the like button, if you are looking forward to and excited about the Bible Verse Tuesday Series.
