A few weeks ago, towards the end of the summer break, while considering new post ideas and reading my Bible, the story of Jesus bringing Lazarus back to life, sprung to mind. The next hurdle I had to leap over was to think of a message inside this story, to tell you today. The message within this post is one of truth, reflection and hope. Hope that everything will turn out ok in the end because God has an amazing plan.

John 11:35 “Jesus wept”
As most of you probably know John 11:35 is the shortest verse in the bible however it is far from being unimportant.
Lazarus was dead he had been in the tomb for four days when, Jesus arrived Mary and Martha came to greet him as they walked to the tomb Jesus wept.
He cried because a man he loved was dead. People cry when loved ones die maybe you’ve experienced that feeling when someone you know and love has died. From this we know Jesus is human however when he raises Lazarus from the dead we know he is also fully god. When Jesus came down to earth he became a man by doing this he humbled himself. Later on he would do this again by dying for us on the cross.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV)
